OMC Saildrive-prop won't turn

LarryWP	Engine starts fine, but the prop won't turn. I've dived and checked it out, but nothing is wrapped around it, and the blades seem fine. Could it be the gearbox? Anybody have any experience with this? It's an '81 engine in a Helms 24. Thanks for any help.	2002-08-27
flashback	Don't know too much about these sail drives, does the engine run when it is put into gear? if so, then most likely, you have a broken shear pin in the prop hub.. only way to know is to pull the prop.	2002-08-27
